HOW TO CLEANSE AND ORGANIZE YOUR WARDROBE

3

Ask the difficult questions

Once you can see all your clothes laid out in front of you, it’s time to ask the difficult questions. Some ideas:

Have I worn this in the past year? The past two?

Does this still fit me?

Would I buy this if I saw it today?

Will I ever actually fix that button?

If you find yourself answering ‘no’ to any of the above, transfer the piece in question to your donate, resell or chuck pile.

Be the gateway

Don’t let your hard work go to waste by re-filling your newly detoxed closet as soon as the sales arrive. If you’re truly committed to keeping your wardrobe lean and organised, you could adopt a one-in, one-out policy, or simply track your spending and keep notes on which pieces you already have.

But, if you come across something that fills you with joy, then by all means invest.
